PENETRATION BITUMEN

Penetration Bitumen is a black or dark-colored (solid, semi-solid, viscous), amorphous, cementations material that can be found in different forms, such us tar and bitumen derived from oil, which is referred to as petroleum bitumen. 

Bitumen or also called asphalt is a semi-solid substance obtained from the bottom of the distillation tank at an oil refinery. The base material is called slurry (or VB in some countries) which is a direct derivative of petroleum.

Currently most of the roads globally are paved with bitumen. Today the world’s demand for bitumen accounts for more than 100 million tons per year which is approximately 700 million barrels of bitumen consumed annually.

APPLICATIONS of PENETRATION BITUMEN:

Penetration Bitumen or asphalt is produced with a variety of grades for a range of applications. Penetration Bitumen is being used worldwide in road paving, bituminous membranes, roofing felts, glue and binder of the mix in asphalt cements.

SPECIFICATIONS of PENETRATION BITUMEN:

Penetration Bitumen Specifications vary from each producer to other, but there are general aspects for Bitumen 40/50, Bitumen 60/70 and Bitumen 80/100 to understand the quality of the product demonstrated.

Vessel:

Loading of hot bitumen directly into vessel storage tanker using special pumping equipment at the port of loading; Bandar Abbas Port or Imam Khomeini Port.

Tanker Truck:

Loading of Hot Bitumen directly from loading pipes into tanker truck which transports in liquid conditions to buyer’s storage at destination countries
